Somewhat Offbeat

So, I am acknowledging the breadth between my entries. I completely forgot about LJ for almost the past year.
Right now I am sitting at the front desk of Upton Hastings waiting for the drunks that aren't coming so that I can check their bags. I've been sitting here since 11 and because of the unfortunate seating situation, my ass feels like it is about to fall off.

I got into:

I didn't get into McGill - the letter cited that I only took three years of math and all undergrads there have to have four.


St. Joe's is giving me a $40k scholarship. I might end up going there just because of the money. And convenience.  Friends World is almost officially too expensive, even with Masonic Scholarships it'd be like 25k+ a year. And I wouldn't be able to work. I haven't gotten FA letters from Wells or Liu yet.


I haven't seen non-Hannaford people in three days. Thirty hours of work since Friday. All going to my banged up car. Everyday after school (except Tuesday) I'm work 4-9 hour shifts. I love not being 18 and not dealing with child labor laws. I'll have 40+hours this week.

everything that i ever want is too much money, and i'm finally becoming logical enough to realize it.

a good thing that happened today: i'm going to be a bridesmaid. i have a dress fitting tomorrow.

dan ratcliffe is moving to colorado. we just spent four hours walking around and talking. we listened to summer teeth by wilco. he gave me a very, very long hug. and tight.

I also got a completely new wardrobe via Patagonia. They had a 50% off sale. Off of everything. Already low prices. (hannaford slogan?) I freaked out.

Kate's leaving today. I'm seeing MMW on Saturday. Hopefully. If we don't play Dread Pirate.


How is everyone?

I've been listening to coldplay lately. Or at least now.

I want to go to Portland and Cambridge. I miss the morning when someone picked me up at 8 and we climbed Mt. Pisgah. I love that it's spelled "g-a-h." Shhh.
Where'd my passion for South America go? I want to go back to that. I want to live in Costa Rica next year. I need to be far away.

First class at UMA today. It's like a more intensive HUSH. Yeah. Yeah. First class --> 170 pages of reading. And like 30 handouts. And one class until our first exam. The first exam alone is 30% of my grade. Holy shit.

I know I haven't updated in a long time, and I know pictures don't count, but I can't avoid lj forever. I had to do something.

In conclusion:

i hope everyone's vacation is going well. Christmas was a little strange. It didn't really feel right, but it was nice to have everyone home.

that time is now. my thoughts are consumed and everyday feels equally as great. i can't belive how little time has passed, it seems as though weeks have flown by.
